Seasonal Vitamin A & Forage Insights
Green plants provide carotene, a vital source of vitamin A. Ruminants convert this in the small intestine, triggering the production of IGF-1, which fuels growth at every stage of development—from conception to mature antler formation.
However, vitamin A availability isn’t consistent year-round. As forage matures or is harvested, beta-carotene levels plummet. Hay loses the majority of its vitamin A potential in just the first day of drying. Rainfall before curing can drop those levels even further.
Because natural and stored forages vary, so do the nutrient levels your animals receive. This variability can lead to deficiencies during critical growth periods.
That’s why we created Antler Accelerator.
It’s designed as a seasonal inclusion feed additive, giving you flexibility to adjust based on the quality of your pasture or hay.
Each component in Antler Accelerator mimics what animals would get from peak-season forage: organic selenium, biotin, folic acid, vitamin A precursors, and more—in a concentrated, easy-to-feed format that supports growth without over-supplementation.
